The insulation grade is a new, intuitive tool developed by Peuterey to classify outerwear according to its level of thermal comfort.

a) Everyday lightweight

Garments that offer ideal thermal comfort at temperatures between 15°C and 5°C. Suitable for mild climates, they are characterized by the lightness of the padding and fabrics. Practical and comfortable, designed for everyday use.

Garments with thermal comfort suitable for temperatures between 10°C and -15°C. They are characterized by the use of materials and solutions specifically designed to provide excellent protection against the most intense cold.

d) Tech Warmth

Excellent thermal comfort up to -20°C. The best technical solutions developed to combine the Peuterey style with high-performance fabrics which are rainproof and windproof, multilayer and breathable, padded with top-quality materials.

2. PADDINGS

Discover more

a) Feather and down paddings

Feather and down paddings, light and soft in volume, combine sensory qualities and high-tech features. They ensure excellent natural comfort by adjusting the temperature difference between the body and the environment.

b)Primaloft Thermoplume

This is a synthetic filling that is the first real alternative to goose down, with thermal properties equivalent to the 550 Fill Power of down. PrimaLoft Insulation ThermoPlume is made from small silky tufts of PrimaLoft fibre and together, these tufts form an insulating layer that imitates the warmth, lightness, softness, and loft of natural goose feathers. A unique mix of water-resistant PrimaLoft provides insulation, protection against bad weather, and compressibility. The special construction means it can be blown with the traditional machinery used for down, which simplifies the production process.

c) Thindown

Thindown is an innovative fabric which compacts feathers using patented technology and provides maximum heat with minimum thickness. Completely natural and breathable, it can be machine washed and dried and also dry cleaned.

3. TREATMENTS

a) Teflon EcoElite™

This is a sustainable water-repellent finish made with 60% renewable raw materials. It is up to three times longer lasting than existing non-fluorinated, water-repellent finishes and it also reduces energy and water use by up to 25% because it requires fewer washes. Therefore, it has less of an impact on the environment.

b) PFC Free

PFCs are fluorinated compounds made from fluorine and carbon. They have excellent oil- and water-repellent properties, which, over the years, has led to them being used on a vast scale in the outdoor clothing industry.
In the interests of protecting the environment, wherever possible, Peuterey tries to apply new products that perform just as well as PFCs, but which are totally eco-friendly and use chemicals that do not damage health or the environment.

4. FUR POLICY

Safagurs
Peuterey is certified by Sagafurs: this is a voluntary labelling system that was established by Finnish fur farmers in 1954 to convey the quality and traceability of its furs to the consumer. Sagafurs guarantees that furs come from a country where the laws in force ensure the welfare of the animals and it certifies compliance with hygiene requirements.

These are the guiding principles of Sagafurs.

5. DOWN POLICY

Discover more

Peuterey feather and down paddings are made in compliance with existing hygiene and sanitary standards and do not use substances harmful for health. Non-allergenic and fully traceable, they do not come from ill-treated animals.

a) RDS
Responsible Down Standard is an independent, voluntary global standard to certify that the feathers and down used in filled products come from certified farms, where ducks and geese are humanely treated and not subjected to unnecessary harm.

These are the guiding principles of the RDS.

b) Downpass
The DOWNPASS standard, which is established on an international level, is a standard to ensure the welfare of farm-reared geese and ducks. DOWNPASS supports responsible procurement of feathers and down, which must have fully documented traceability to guarantee transparency along the whole supply chain.

These are the guiding principles of DOWNPASS.
